Public rider profile: one link with your level, rank and badges

A friend should see how you ride, but not where. In DriveBattle for Android every account has a public profile page at drivebattle.com/u/Name. You send the link, the recipient opens it in the browser, with no app and no account.

What your profile contains

You open your profile through the avatar at the top right. It shows photo, name, bio and country, below that totals, level, rank, friends and badges. The name is unique worldwide, up to 80 characters long, and upper and lower case do not count as a difference. Names like "Admin" or "Support" and names containing "DriveBattle" are not allowed. The bio can hold 200 characters. For the profile photo DriveBattle crops to the center, scales it down and removes metadata such as GPS data from the picture.

Share your profile link

In your profile you tap "Share". Android opens the share menu with the text "Check out my DriveBattle profile" and your link, and you pick the messenger. The link always has the same shape: drivebattle.com/u/ and your name. You can also type it yourself, the spelling does not matter. The page carries a short preview description with name, level, kilometers and ride count that a messenger can use for its link preview. The page exists in the website languages, for example at drivebattle.com/en/u/Name.

What the recipient sees in the browser

Whoever opens the link sees a DriveBattle page without a login: your photo with a ring in the color of your level, name, level, bio and since when you have been riding (month and year). Next come your global rank as "#N of M", the totals distance, drive time, rides and top speed, and your unlocked badges with name and description. If you have not recorded a ride yet, the page says "No rides recorded yet." At the bottom a button invites visitors to the app.

Rank, crown and champion

The rank compares your distance of the last 30 days with all other riders. Places 1 to 3 of that ranking wear a crown next to the name. If you belong to the crew with the longest distance of the last 30 days, a "Champion crew" emblem appears. Both move on: if you drop out of the top 3 you lose the crown, the matching badge stays. Your level rises with your XP, and every 10 levels the color of the ring around your photo changes.

What never appears on the page

The page shows no email address, no routes, no privacy zones, no vehicles and no single rides. Your country is not there either. The server outputs only the fixed fields listed above. Rides that do not count in leaderboards do not count in the totals either.

Hide top speed

Under Settings, Visibility you switch on "Hide top speed". After that the top speed tile is missing on the profile page, and so it is in the feed, in leaderboards and in your profile for others in the app. You always see the value yourself. There is no separate switch that turns the public page off completely. What appears there is controlled by name, bio, photo and this switch.

Who finds the page

The page is public. Anyone with your link opens it, and anyone who knows your display name can build the address themselves. Search engines are asked not to index the page. An unknown or unconfirmed name leads to "Rider not found". If you rename yourself, the old link no longer points to you, and whoever takes the freed name later has their own profile under the old link. Share the new link then. If you delete your account, it disappears everywhere at once.

What friends and crew see in the app

In the app strangers see a mini profile with rank, level, totals and badges. Only crew members and friends see the garage and the latest rides, with the rides shown in rounded values. From a profile you also send a friend request. The web page is the version for everyone who has not installed DriveBattle. The other visibility switches are explained on the page Control visibility.

Frequently asked questions

Open your profile through the avatar at the top right and tap "Share". Pick the messenger in the Android share menu, the link to drivebattle.com/u/ and your name is already in the text.
What does my profile URL look like?
drivebattle.com/u/ followed by your display name, for example drivebattle.com/u/Name. Upper and lower case in the name do not matter.
Does the recipient need the app or an account?
No. The page opens in the browser without a login. You need DriveBattle for Android to share the link and to edit your profile.
What does the recipient see on the page?
Photo, name, level, bio, member since, global rank, crown and champion emblem, the totals distance, drive time, rides and top speed, and your unlocked badges.
Can anyone see my routes, my zones or my vehicle?
No. The page shows no routes, privacy zones, vehicles or single rides, and no email address.
Can I hide my top speed?
Yes. Under Settings, Visibility switch on "Hide top speed". The profile page then no longer shows the top speed tile. You still see the value yourself.
Can I switch the public profile off?
There is no separate switch for it. Name, bio, photo and "Hide top speed" decide what appears there. When you delete your account the profile disappears too.

Is the public profile part of Premium?
No, it is not on the Premium list. Premium includes the curvy navigation and the offline maps, among other things.
