Control visibility: you decide who sees what of you

Your rides belong to you. In DriveBattle for Android you decide who sees your track, who gets your live position, whether others can read your top speed and who may message you. Every switch works on its own and you can change it at any time.

Track and live position per crew

Every crew has two switches: "Share tracks" and "Share live location". With "Share tracks" off, the crew only sees your statistics, no track. With "Share live location" off, the crew never sees your live position. Both switches apply to each crew separately: you show everything to the crew of your friends and only numbers to a big crew. You find them when you open the crew, or under Settings, Privacy.

Default for new crews

Under Settings, Privacy you set what applies when you join or found a crew: "Share tracks in new crews" and "Share live location in new crews". Both are off by default, so you only share once you switch it on. After that you change it for each crew individually.

Hide top speed

With "Hide top speed" others no longer see your top speed: not in your profile, not in the feed, not in your rides in the crew, not in leaderboards and not on the live map. You always see your own values. The switch applies to all crews at once. A leaderboard by top speed exists only inside a crew anyway, never worldwide.

Who may message you

"Direct messages open" is on by default. Then any signed-in user can write to you. Switch it off and only friends and members of a shared crew can write to you. Everyone else no longer gets through.

Blocking

You block a person in the chat menu or on their profile. After that, direct messages are closed in both directions, a friendship ends, a running "Follow me" with that person stops, and you no longer see each other on the crew's live map. The shared crew and the crew chat stay. The person gets no notice. Under Settings, Privacy, "Blocked users" you see every block and lift it. A friendship that ended does not come back.

What stays visible

Name, avatar, level and your place in leaderboards stay visible to others, even after a block. Blocking governs contact and does not change your statistics. The start and end of your rides are protected by a separate feature: privacy zones cut off the beginning and end before a crew sees the track.

Frequently asked questions

Who sees my rides in DriveBattle?
Crews where "Share tracks" is on see the track, shortened by your privacy zones. With the switch off, the crew only sees your statistics. In new crews, sharing is off by default.
Can I show my live position to just one crew?
Yes. "Share live location" is a switch per crew. Inside a privacy zone you are never visible on the live map.
How do I hide my top speed?
Switch on "Hide top speed" under Settings, Privacy. Others then no longer see the value in your profile, feed, crew rides, leaderboards and live map.
Do I still see my own top speed?
Yes. The switch only affects others. In your own view everything stays complete.
Can I set who may message me?
Yes. With "Direct messages open" off, only friends and members of a shared crew can write to you. The switch is on by default.
Does the person notice that I blocked them?
No, the blocked person gets no notice. For both of you, messages and the other's live position are closed, and the shared crew stays.
Is visibility control part of Premium?
No, these switches are not on the Premium list. Premium includes curvy navigation and offline maps, among others.
