One list for all chats
The chat icon at the top of the app opens your messages. The list mixes direct chats and crew chats and sorts them by the latest message. The filters “All”, “Direct” and “Crews” narrow it down, and “Search chats” finds a specific chat. The chat counter tracks unread messages separately from the notification bell. You start a new chat from your friends or from a person's profile.
Voice messages up to 2 minutes
Next to the text field you record a voice message, cancel it or send it. It can run up to 2 minutes. The recipient plays and pauses it right inside the message. This works in direct chats and in the crew chat. The notification shows a neutral preview text in the recipient's app language.
The crew chat
Every crew has a group chat. All members read and write: text up to 2000 characters, plus voice messages. The other members get a notification, which you switch off under Settings, Notifications with “Crew chat”. Each crew also has a level for the essentials only: live, dates and champion titles, without chat. Whoever is riding right now shows on the crew's live map.
Who can message you
Friends can always write to you, and so can members of a shared crew. Everyone else reaches you only if “Direct messages open” is switched on under Settings, Privacy. That is the default. You send a friend request from a person's profile. Direct messages hold up to 2000 characters.
Reply, react, copy
A message has “Reply”. A long press opens the reactions and “Copy”, for your own and for other people's messages. The status shows “Sent” and “Read”, and after an error “Not sent” with “Try again”. A half-typed text stays when you leave the chat, until you send it. “Clear history” deletes the chat for you only, the others keep their copy.
Photos in chat
Sending photos is a Premium feature. Without Premium it still works if the recipient allows it in the chat menu or the founder of your crew allows photos in the crew chat. Viewing is never locked. On upload the server strips the camera data (EXIF) and shrinks the image. During the beta everything is unlocked.
Block and report
You block a person in the chat menu or on their profile. The friendship ends, and direct messages and live location sharing are closed in both directions. Your shared crew and the crew chat stay. The blocked person gets no notice. You report a single message with a long press, and a person on the team reviews every report.
