Delete individual data - without giving up your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to get rid of data. Everything below you delete yourself, directly in the app, immediately and without asking us - there is no form and nobody has to approve it.

  • A single ride including its GPS track: open Insights, tap the ride, choose “Delete” from the menu.
  • Feed post or photo: tap your own post in the feed, menu “…”, “Delete”.
  • Comment: tap your own comment and delete it.
  • Chat history: open the chat, menu “…”, “Clear history” - removes the history from your own view.
  • Vehicle including maintenance data: Settings → Vehicles → vehicle → “Delete”.
  • Privacy zone: Settings → Privacy → zone → “Delete”.
  • Saved place, photo or route: delete it from the “…” menu of that entry.
  • Profile picture: Profile → tap the picture → “Remove”.

Locked out, or would you rather have us delete specific data for you? Email us from your registered address at [email protected] and tell us what it is about - we will take care of it and get back to you.

Individual data you delete is gone immediately and irreversibly; there is no 30-day window like for account deletion. It disappears from our daily backups after at most 14 days.

Timeline

  1. Immediately: Your account is deactivated and instantly invisible to everyone else - it disappears from leaderboards, search, crews and the feed. Signing in is no longer possible. You receive a confirmation by email.
  2. Within 30 days: You can still change your mind. Just sign in again and your account is reactivated with all of your data.
  3. After 30 days: The account is permanently and irreversibly deleted. It cannot be restored after that, not even by us.

What is permanently deleted

Once the 30 days have passed, your account and everything attached to it is removed from our database:

  • Account data: email address, password, display name, bio, profile picture, country
  • All rides including full GPS tracks, speed, elevation and lean-angle data
  • Your garage: all vehicles and their maintenance data
  • Your privacy zones
  • Feed posts including photos, plus your comments, reactions and likes - including those on other people's posts
  • Crew chat messages including voice and image attachments
  • Direct messages in both directions, including voice messages, images, reactions and image permissions
  • Friendships, friend requests and blocks
  • Live location and all live-share permissions
  • Places and routes you shared including photos, plus your votes on other people's places
  • Badges, your entire XP balance and all notifications
  • Support requests including the chat history
  • Referral code and referral links
  • The moderation archive of your removed content and your warnings
  • Your subscription history

What happens to your crews

If you are the last member of a crew, the crew is dissolved along with its events and chat messages. If you own a crew that has other members, ownership automatically passes to the longest-standing active member - the crew stays alive and remains manageable.

What is kept - and for how long

For completeness: these remnants can outlive your deletion. They are either anonymised or required for legal or technical reasons.

Display name in other people's reports

indefinitely, with no link to an account

If somebody reported one of your posts, the display name recorded at that time stays in that report as plain text. The link to your account is removed. Reason: the person who reported it must be able to see what happened to their report. The reported content itself is deleted.

Technical error and crash reports

anonymised

Your user ID is removed from these reports. The technical content (error message, stack trace, app version) is kept for debugging and can no longer be traced to a person.

Database backups

14 days at most

We back up the database daily and keep those backups for 14 days. Individual records cannot be selectively removed from a backup that has already been written; after 14 days at most, the last backup containing your data has been overwritten.

Server log files

7 days at most

Web server access logs are stored briefly for security reasons and then deleted automatically.

Other users' posts

indefinitely

Comments and reactions by other users remain their content. If they were attached to one of your posts, they disappear together with that post.

Newsletter consent

until you unsubscribe separately

The newsletter is a service independent of your account. If you opted in, your email address and the time of consent are kept even after account deletion. You can unsubscribe at any time separately, e.g. by emailing [email protected].

Before you go: take your data with you

Deletion is final. If you want to keep your data, export it first: the “Data export” section of the web dashboard gives you a complete copy as a JSON file.

Your other rights

Besides deletion (Art. 17 GDPR) you have the right to access, rectification, restriction of processing, data portability and objection at any time. Details are in our privacy policy. Privacy policy
