How do I hide my home in my drives?

Create a zone around your home under Settings, Privacy. The start and end of your drives are then cut for other people.

Can others see where I live?

Privacy zones: the start and end of your drives stay private

Your crew should see where you rode, not where you live. With a privacy zone in DriveBattle for Android, you cut the start and end of every drive around your home, your workplace or any other place. Only you see your full route.

How to set up a zone

Open Settings, Privacy and tap "Add zone". Search for a place or jump to your location, then move the map: the pin in the middle marks the center of the zone. Give the zone a name and tap "Create zone". Each place you want to protect gets its own zone, for example one for home and one for work.

Two radii, one ring

Every zone has an inner and an outer radius. New zones start at 3 km inside and 4.5 km outside. The sizes S, M, L and XL set both radii with one tap, from 1 and 1.5 km for S to 12 and 18 km for XL. You can also drag the handle of the outer ring on the map, or tune the values with the slider behind "Fine". You set the default radii for new zones in Settings.

What others see of your drive

When you share drives with your crew, the app cuts the start and the end at a random distance between the inner and the outer radius. The distance is fixed for each drive. Anyone who opens the same drive again and again sees the same cut, so the place cannot be narrowed down over time. Nobody but you sees the center of the zone. In your own drive view you see the whole route, and green markers show what the crew sees.

Drives that never leave the ring

If a drive never gets at least 1 km beyond the outer radius, it is completely invisible to others. If less than 2 km stay visible after the cut, the drive does not appear in the feed and sends no notification. Your own kilometers, XP and level still count. If you stop at a second protected place in the middle of a drive, the app removes that stretch too.

Pauses, live map and shared images

The app does not show other people your pauses inside a zone. On the crew live map you are never visible inside a zone, not even to yourself. Shared routes, image cards and the 3D video always use the trimmed route only.

Change, switch off and the one exception

Every zone has a switch. You find edit and delete in the zone's menu under "Your zones". The cut is applied when a drive is viewed: if you delete a zone, your earlier drives around that place are no longer cut either. One exception is deliberate: when you share your live location 1:1 with "Follow me", zones do not apply, because you release it yourself there. You hide your top speed from others under Privacy with "Hide top speed".
