Record the route you rode: every ride with all its numbers

You ride off, DriveBattle for Android records along. Afterwards the route sits on the map, coloured by speed, next to distance, riding time, average and top speed, curves and elevation gain.

What DriveBattle measures on every ride

Distance, riding time without pauses, average and top speed, elevation gain and curves. On a motorcycle, lean angle comes on top. DriveBattle counts the curves from the shape of the route and calculates elevation gain from terrain data instead of the GPS altitude value.

Live in the Drive tab

While you ride, the Drive tab shows speedometer, distance, riding time, top speed and elevation gain live. A signal icon reports GPS quality, three bars mean good. A notification keeps distance, duration and speed in view as long as the recording runs. On the road, elevation gain is an estimate. The upload delivers the final value.

Recording without a network

The measuring points land on your phone first. Without reception the recording carries on, and the ride uploads as soon as the internet is back, even with the app closed. If the app crashes, the same ride continues when the last measuring point is less than 8 minutes old.

The ride afterwards

The ride summary shows the route on the map with a colour gradient by speed, plus charts for speed and altitude, personal bests and the XP breakdown. DriveBattle names the ride after its start and destination. You rename and delete under Insights, My drives. Deleting removes the route and the ride XP.

What does not count

Routes under about 300 metres do not count as a ride, and pauses do not count as riding time. Every ride gets a plausibility check. With impossible values, for example after a GPS jump, it stays in your list but does not count in rankings. If you think the flag is wrong, write to support. A person looks at it.

Frequently asked questions

How can I record a route I have ridden?
Start the ride in the Drive tab or let Bluetooth start it. DriveBattle saves the route with speed, curves and elevation gain and shows it on the map afterwards. To end it, press and hold the stop button.
Does recording work without internet?
Yes. The measuring points stay on your phone, and the ride is delivered as soon as the internet is back, even with the app closed. If it is still missing from the list hours after you got a signal, open the app once. That triggers the upload.
How accurate is the elevation gain?
DriveBattle calculates it from terrain data, not from the GPS altitude value. During the ride the value is an estimate. The upload delivers the final value.
Why does my ride not show up in the list?
Routes under about 300 metres do not count as a ride. A ride also uploads only at the end, so later when you have no network. Open the app once as soon as you have reception again.
Is recording part of Premium?
No, recording belongs to the free scope. Premium includes the lean angle analysis and statistics over periods longer than one week.
