The 13 languages
Czech, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak and Swedish. Every language has all texts of the app. The website comes in the same 13 languages.
How to set the language
Open Settings, General and, in the group “Language & units”, the row “Language”. A sheet at the bottom shows “Auto” and the 13 languages, each under its own name: Čeština, Deutsch, English, Español, Français, Italiano, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Português, Русский, Slovenčina, Svenska. That way you find your language even when the app is currently in a foreign one. “Auto” takes the language of your phone. If it is not supported, the app uses English. The change applies at once, no restart needed.
What changes with it
Menus, switches and hints of the app. The texts the server delivers: badge names, level names and push notifications, each in the language of the recipient. The change text in the update dialog also appears in your language. The language of the navigation voice is described on the Spoken directions page.
The choice moves with your account
The app stores the language on the phone and also in your account. If you switch phones or clear the app data, the app takes it back at the first sync. The server uses the same setting for push and system emails.
